Clinical Breakthroughs and Patient Praise at MassBio’s Annual Patient Advocacy Day

 In Events

Oh, how enjoyable it was to attend the MassBio’s Patient Advocacy Summit 2019.

For those of you who are not familiar, patient advocacy is an area of health care focused on advocacy for patients, caregivers and survivors who collectively aim to influence decisions, using various channels, to improve every aspect of care. This year’s summit shared the many ways in which the patient’s voice is incorporated into the drug development cycle of life science companies. The day was a balanced mix of panel discussions, case studies, views on how to improve the clinical trial experience for patients, and the opportunity to talk one-on-one with patients, caregivers and Colpitts customers. It was a great turnout.

Furthermore, the timing of the summit could not have been more perfect as one of our local, Boston-based pharmaceutical companies won approval for its fourth treatment for cystic fibrosis, a combination drug that extends a new form of therapy to 90% of cystic fibrosis patients. This message of “hope” was shared as part of the keynote address and was warmly embraced by everyone in the room and set the positive tone for the day.

Colpitts Clinical solutions are designed to minimize the burden of travel and speed up the process of claiming expenses for the patient when traveling to their clinical appointments. I was overjoyed when a caregiver recognized our company and stopped me to thank us for all the support we have provided to her and her son over the past two years with our services.

The MassBio always delivers excellent conferences and this was no exception!
